The Honolulu Festival was held again this year from March 7th to 9th, bringing many visitors and event performers to Hawaii. At the Convention Center, various shops set up booths, and performances by Hitomi Shimatani and the popular idol group FRUITS ZIPPER were met with great enthusiasm. \u2728 On the final day, March 9th, the annual grand finale event, the Nagaoka Fireworks Show, took place, attracting many people to Waikiki Beach to enjoy the spectacular display.<\/p>\n

As for me, I had decided a year ago that I would absolutely take the day off to see the Nagaoka Fireworks this year. I had enthusiastically secured my day off well in advance… or so I thought. However, I completely mixed up the dates and had actually taken off Saturday, March 8th instead. It wasn\u2019t until three days before that I realized my mistake… When I found out, I was devastated. I usually have no interest in events in Hawaii, but this was the one event I had set my heart on attending for an entire year\u2014only to miss it due to my own mix-up.<\/p>\n

I had assumed that the store might be quiet that day because of the fireworks, but working at the Ala Moana branch, I found that since our customers are mostly locals, we were not much affected by events in Waikiki. In fact, the Ala Moana store stayed open later than the Waikiki store that night, as we continued to welcome customers well into the evening.<\/p>\n

No, no, I\u2019m not complaining! It\u2019s truly a blessing! \ud83e\udd23 The last customer of the night was a regular local guest who usually visits in the afternoon or evening. However, on this particular night, they were feeling so exhausted that they made a last-minute reservation and came in for a treatment. It\u2019s truly a privilege to be the kind of place that people think of when they need relief from fatigue.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the Honolulu Festival, the Waikiki store was bustling with activity, while the Ala Moana store remained a favorite among repeat customers. Both locations have their unique characteristics, which makes things interesting! As spring break approaches, even more tourists will be visiting Hawaii.
