In front of Aliʻiōlani Hale, the statue of King Kamehameha was beautifully adorned with fresh, vibrant lei.
Each strand of flowers carried not just color, but meaning—a visible expression of aloha, respect, and gratitude.
And for a moment, I stood still, deeply moved by the beauty and the spirit of it all.
In Hawaiʻi, we often talk about mana—the spiritual energy that exists in people, nature, and actions.
It’s invisible, but you feel it. In the ocean. In the mountains. In people’s warmth.
And in the practice of lomi lomi.
Lomi lomi is more than massage. It’s a ritual of healing passed down through generations.
It’s about returning to yourself. Calming the noise. Letting your heart rest.
